Home Inspections

We offer thorough home inspections that will provide the client with an understanding of the property conditions, as inspected at the time of the inspection. The purpose of the home inspection is to identify any potential problems that may adversely affect the habitability of the dwelling. When doing an inspection, we state whether the condition reported requires repair or subsequent observation, or warrants further investigation by a specialist. The statements will describe the component or system and how the condition is defective, explain the consequences of the condition, and direct the client to a proper course of action.

What we inspect:

  • The overall condition of the structural components together with the attic and crawl space or basement including any evidence of moisture or water penetration
  • The materials, condition, and performance of the roof coverings including flashing, chimney, gutters, and downspouts
  • The exterior of the home including doors and windows, driveway and walkways, deck,
    porches, etc.
  • The general condition and operation of the furnace and air conditioning units
  • The general condition of the electrical service
  • The general condition and operation of the plumbing system
  • The overall condition of the attic and crawl space insulation and ventilation
  • The general condition of the walls, ceilings, floor coverings, windows, doors, cabinets,
    and countertops
  • The general condition and workability of the major appliances
